What Is An E-liquid?

E-liquid, or “juice”, is the foundation of what makes vapes, well vapes! E-liquid is the flavoured fluid that you’ll fill your tank or open pod system with. E-liquid is the substance that gives vapour its flavour and nicotine. Vapour is created when the e-liquid is heated by the coil inside the cartridge , and when heated, the liquid transforms into vapour.

Types of E-liquid

Salt Nicotine: formulated with organic acids (ex. benzoic acid), these allow for higher nicotine concentrations
Freebase Nicotine: the standard nicotine form usually used in higher PG blends and with lower concentrations

How Is E-liquid Made?

Vegetable Glycerin (VG): a thicker liquid responsible for vapour cloud production
Nicotine: often extracted from tobacco; concentrations vary from 0mg to 20mg
Flavourings: food grade ingredients designed for taste, ranging from tobacco to mint to fruit and dessert flavours
Other ingredients: may include dyes, sweetener or cooling agents

How To Store E-liquid

E-liquids are recommended to be placed out of sunlight and extreme temperatures, such as inside of a car during the summer time. I personally recommend that e-liquid be placed in a cool and well ventilated place, such as in a cupboard.
